Service Completion and Compliance
Acceptance of Opportunities: You have the freedom to accept or decline jobs as they are presented. Once you accept a job, you are committed to completing it, except in exceptional circumstances which you must report to us immediately.
Performance Standards: You must perform jobs timely, efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all legal requirements and the specific terms set by One Legal.
Volume of Work
No Guaranteed Volume: It's important to note that while you have the opportunity to accept job offers, there is no guarantee regarding the volume of jobs you will receive. The amount of work available can vary, and there may be periods when no jobs are available.
Communication Requirements for Independent Contractors
ServeManager Portal Usage
Access and Use: Contractors are required to use ServeManager, One Legal’s designated online portal, for managing and updating the status of jobs.
Purpose: ServeManager serves as the primary platform for receiving job notifications, accepting assignments, and accessing detailed job instructions and deadlines.
Real-Time Updates via Mobile Application
Immediate Communication: Contractors are expected to provide updates on job completion and progress through ServeManager as soon as practicably and safely possible after completing tasks.
Mobile Application: To facilitate timely updates, contractors are required to use the mobile application linked to ServeManager, allowing for direct and efficient communication from any location.
Independent Contractor Status
Business Autonomy: As an independent contractor, you are not an employee of One Legal and will maintain your own independent business operations, including managing business licenses, tax registrations, and insurance.
Financial Responsibilities
Pay for Services: You will be paid per job completed according to the terms outlined in the agreement. Rates may vary by job (see: Understanding Your Pay), and details will be provided with each job opportunity.
Expense Management: You are responsible for all business expenses unless specifically covered by the agreement.
Tax Obligations: You are responsible for managing and paying all taxes associated with your earnings from One Legal.
Legal and Regulatory Compliance
Compliance Obligations: You must adhere to all applicable laws and regulations while performing jobs.
Confidentiality and Intellectual Property
Protection of Information: You are required to keep One Legal's business information confidential and must not disclose or misuse any proprietary information.
Insurance Requirements
Maintaining Coverage: You must maintain insurance coverage that meets legal requirements and adequately covers your activities related to the services provided.
Dispute Resolution
Arbitration Agreement: Any disputes must be resolved through binding arbitration, except for specific types of claims exempt from this requirement.
Informal Dispute Resolution: Before seeking arbitration, you agree to attempt an informal resolution through direct communication with One Legal.
Data Protection and Privacy
