How to use notes to communicate with One Legal with job-specific issues

Notes: Preferred Method for Non-Urgent Job-Specific Communication

Using the notes feature within ServeManager is the most efficient way to communicate with us about specific jobs you are handling. We actively monitor these notes from 7 AM to 6 PM PT and aim to respond within 4 hours.

Sending a Note via Desktop App

Follow these steps to send a note from the ServeManager desktop application:

  • Navigate to the Job Page: Open the specific job you need to discuss.

  • Access Notes Section: Scroll down to find the "Notes" section on the job's page.

  • Add a Note: Click on the green "Add Note" button. This action opens a modal window for note entry.

  • Fill Out the Note:

    • Category: Select an appropriate category for your note, such as "Service Instructions".

    • Label: Think of this as the subject line of an email; it helps categorize your query or comment.

    • Comments: Enter the details of your message here, similar to the body of an email.

  • Save and Share: Click the green "Save" button to submit your note. Ensure the visibility checkboxes remain checked to share your note with One Legal staff.

Sending a Note via Mobile App

To send a note through the mobile version of ServeManager, follow these instructions:

  • Open the Job Page: Access the job you are working on.

  • Find the Notes Section: Swipe down to the "Notes" section.

  • Initiate Note Addition: Tap the blue "+" icon next to "Add a New Note".

  • Compose Your Note:

    • Category and Label: Select a relevant category and provide a concise label.

    • Comments: Type your message, detailing your communication clearly.

    • Sharing: Ensure the toggle for sharing remains green to keep the note visible to One Legal.

  • Submit the Note: Press "Save note" to send and share your communication with us.

What to Expect After Sending a Note

  • Notification: You will receive an email notification when we respond to your note.

  • Response: Typically, we will reply directly within the ServeManager notes. Check the job page to view our response.

  • Urgent Matters: If your note indicates an urgent issue, we may reach out via call or text to address it more promptly.
