What Credentials Do I Need to Provide (and then Maintain) to Receive Service of Process Jobs from One Legal?

A quick summary of necessary registration, licensing, and information for process serving contractors

Updated today

When you agree to partner with One Legal on service of process work, you must provide certain types of information in order to qualify to receive assignments. Plus, once you upload that information, you have responsibility to keep your registration, licensing, and insurance current - and to provide new copies as they are updated.

Additionally, if you are a process serving company or agency, you will need to list all of the servers that will work on One Legal jobs - and to provide the necessary documentation/credentials for each. This is in addition, of course, to the required licensing and insurance to conduct business in your local jurisdiction.

ServeManager will soon offer great new methods of notification of expirations and the creation of workflows to easily upload files and information, but, for now, each contractor is responsible for working with the Contractor Success team to keep their credentials current.

Here's a breakdown of your obligations in this regard:

California Contractors Credential Obligations

When you renew your registration or change county registration, you will need to update that information in your profile in ServeManager, and provide an updated card to [email protected].
