Minimum legal requirements

In the United States, the rules to become a process server vary from state to state. In many states, the main requirement is that you are over 18 years of age and you are not a party to the case. Other states mandate licensure or registration with your state or county. Details of state-by-state requirements can be reviewed on the ServeManager website.

In addition to meeting the minimum legal requirements in your state, One Legal also requires the following of all contractors:

That you have a valid driver's license.

That you have valid auto insurance.

That you have been serving papers for at least 6 months.

That you are not a current employee of One Legal, InfoTrack US, Inc. or any of our subsidiaries.
